Location Changes due to Daylight Savings
|
| Starting this week, some Wednesday and Thursday evening pickup locations will be moving slightly due to the change in time and it getting darker earlier. This change ensures that customers don’t have to pick up their produce in the dark. If you come to your pickup spot and the truck is not in it’s usual location, look for the part of the parking lot with the most lighting – the truck and tables will be there. For LYNCHBURG subscribers: your pickup spot is moving to the parking lot BEHIND the church to take advantage of lighting there. You won’t be able to see this spot from the front of the church, where you usually pick up. |
| Soon we will have frozen blueberries in the shares, but we will also have extra frozen 10-lb. boxes available as well. If you would like to order a box of frozen blueberries, click here. We have 18 boxes left. |
| Thanksgiving is quickly approaching (it’s in two weeks, ya’ll!) and the turkeys aren’t going to cook themselves. If you haven’t ordered one of our local, pasture-raised birds yet, you can do so here or at your pickup location. Please note that we cannot reserve a turkey for you until we’ve recieved the down payment. |
| This week’s winner, Sabine Dunias, submitted a tempting picture of a butternut squash soup she made. The cozy lighting and beautiful details make us all want to curl up by the fire with a bowl of this deliciousness (or just come to Sabine’s house). We hope it inspires you! This week’s decision was difficult, as we had some pretty awesome Honorable Mentions: |
“I just love this pumpkin that my husband, Mark, made this year. It’s one of our favorites!” – from Lisa Tripodi |
|
“Autumn’s Rainbow” – from Eliza and Geoff Barstow |
|
Keep sending us your photos. The Contest is weekly and the prize is a $15 a la carte credit!
